“I can remember in 4th grade having to do an essay on what I wanted to be when I grew up. Why a veterinarian? because I love animals, of course. Then you get to be a big kid and begin to understand what it means to become a vet. Not to mention not being able to stomach frog dissection in science class was not a good sign. I don’t regret not becoming a vet. I’m an animal rescuer. I save lives with the help of those individuals who dedicated years to vet school. And now the one with the degree shows me how to tube feed a kitten so maybe he won’t die. Side by side we try…because we both knew in 4th grade how much we loved animals.”
